We are so honored to be the Outdoor Women’s Alliance Women of the Month!
Haven’t Heard of OWA? Well here’s the scoop!
Their Mission: Promoting women in outdoor adventure.
Outdoor Women’s Alliance is a nonprofit media organization that encourages, educates, and engages females in adventure sports. We work with professional and aspiring athletes and brands to promote active participation and recognition for women worldwide.
Outdoor Women’s Alliance is an organization that strives to promote women & grow like-minded organizations in their efforts to get women involved in the world of outdoor sports. The activities we promote require human-powered initiative and space away from city limits. Examples include skiing, snowboarding, mountaineering, expeditions, kayaking, rock & ice climbing, surfing, mountain & road biking, hiking, canyoneering, trail running, and backpacking.
How Hike365 ties in to this all
As our community grows, support, inspiration, and encouragement from organizations like OWA is vital to all of us, it motivates our team to continue working at building Hike365 into a community for girls in Alberta created to fill a niche in our generation through social media use paired with getting out on the trails together.
As we near our 1st Anniversary, we know that without the support + connection hands-on with like-minded organizations such as OWA and outdoor blogs including Jane the Jock, and Plymouth Rock we may not have pushed forward from the attained initial visions we had for Hike365. We have been further inspired to delve into the task of making future “dream” goals for our community a reality!
Here’s just a few of the great girls that make up our community both online + on the trails! Thank you for sharing the #hike365 love!
